I. Barnes & Noble Bookstore – Deerbrook Mall will offer two sessions:

Sunday, October 23 at 1 pm
Queen Elizabeth I Storytime and Parade

The Atascocita Library "Queen ElizabethI: Ruler and Legend" exhibit, assisted by the National Charities League, present a special storytime in conjunction with the library exhibit. Join us at our children's department stage for a storytime read by Queen Elizabeth I! After the story, make your own crown and follow the Queen through the store in a parade.

Sunday, October 23 at 3 pm
Reading and Renaissance Craft

Children ages 10 and older are invited to listen to readinga about Queen Elizabeth and make their own brass rubbings presented by the library and assisted by the National Charities League, King's Trail Chapter.

2. Kingwood College, Humble HIgh School, and Kingwood High School Choirs..

October 27 at 6:30 PM.
Madrigal Festival

Christ The King Episcopal Church on Pinehurst in Atascocita on Thursday Participating choirs : Humble High School Madrigal Singers- Joseph Weir, director | Kingwood High School Madrigal Choir-Keith Dixon, director | The Kingwood College Chamber Singers, Todd Miller, director | Kingwood Chorale Chamber Ensemble, Todd Miller, director.

Each choir will sing 2-4 English Madrigals from the period. Audience and singers will be encouraged to visit the Elizabeth I exhibit before or after concert!

3. Elizabeth I film with Dr. David Ragsdale - TBA

4. Elizabeth’s England LIVE

Journey back to the age of Elizabeth as Susan O’Connor and the TH Rodgers High School students reenact daily life, dress and customs. The CSPAN /BOOKTV Book Bus will be here for this program!
