How did we celebrate Respiratory care Week at Kingwood College in 2000?

National Respiratory Care week came early in year 2000, but the combined first and second year respiratory care students were prepared to celebrate their chosen field of study with a week of activities.

They wrote a web page that discussed the various roles played by the respiratory therapist in the health care area.

They measured pulmonary functions on fellow Kingwood College students in our  brand new Arts and Sciences Building.

A few brave souls dressed up as cigarettes and walked about the campus, passing out anti-smoking literature from the AARC. Later they appeared in a TV spot we taped  for  Kingwood  College's TV station.

That Saturday, all the students as well as all  the respiratory faculty went out into the country to celebrate with an old-fashioned Texas barbecue and picnic.
