Why Choose Kingwood College
Graphic Designers/Digital Publishers create concepts, images, and layouts based on design principles to produce illustrations, company logos, publications, and web sites.

Kingwood College’s Graphic Design Track (Track A) will prepare you for entry-level positions within this exciting career through courses like digital publishing, digital imaging, design communication, and computer illustration. The program teaches the latest industry software in state-of-the-art labs (PC and Mac), plus design and conceptual skills, typography, and much more from faculty experienced in the field.

In photo left, Game Design and Simulation Professor Jason Ford (second from left) is seen working with students during the annual Non-Profit Design-a-Thon. Visual Communication students volunteer for a 12 hour period creating free graphic design for area non-profits. Students volunteering for this event earn service learning credit and "real world" pieces for their portfolios.

Student Testimonial
Elizabeth Moore
2005 AAS Visual Communication – Graphic Design

"I was interested in finding a new career and Kingwood College was the perfect place to pursue my interest in graphic design.  The classes offered in the Visual Communication program were very interesting and informative.  Each class included useful “real life” projects and one-on-one help from very qualified teachers.  Immediately after receiving my Graphic Design certificate, I was able to find an entry-level position as a graphic designer.  After working in the field for several months, I realize what an excellent education I received. The Visual Communication program at Kingwood College provided me with a great foundation on which to build a new career."
